Role: Program Manager for Creative Play Program, Nexon Foundation

 

넥슨재단 프로그램 매니저(브릭놀이를 통한 창의력 발달 지원 프로그램 담당)

 

Location: Seoul, Korea

While working for Nexon Foundation, the Program Manager will primarily work with the SOHO Impact team (based in Los Angeles, CA), the primary partner of Nexon Foundation’s creative play program that supports brick giving and helps advance creativity.

Timeframe: Full-time (3 month probation period)

 


Overview:

 

Nexon Foundation is an organization established by Nexon Company that focuses on giving back to society. Nexon Company has been carrying out various CSR projects, including the establishment of Nexon Small Library, PURME Foundation NEXON Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, and Nexon Computer Museum. In addition to expanding these projects, Nexon Foundation will also take on new CSR projects in various fields under its slogan 'From a Child'. (www.nexonfoundation.org)

 

 SOHO Impact is a new foundation based in Los Angeles, California (USA) and is a project supported by the Nexon Foundation. Our mission is to foster creativity and help communities thrive through creative play. We are seeking a Program Manager to lead our Asia based giving partnerships and support our marketing outreach and storytelling in the Asia region. Initial focus of the work will be on driving our strategy in Korea to advance creative play with communities in need, and we will expand to other countries in Asia over time.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Drive SOHO Impact’s giving strategy in Korea and Asia which operates under the Nexon Foundation

Serve as a lead representative for Nexon Foundation’s creative play and brick donation program in Korea and Asia that is guided by SOHO Impact.

Lead outreach to and recruitment of community partners in Korea to advance Nexon Foundation’s creative play and brick giving strategy in line with SOHO Impact’s goals and objectives. This will expand to include other countries in Asia over time. (Brick giving strategy and goals led by SOHO Impact Director of Giving & Operations)

Manage brick play partnerships with Korea and Asia based community partners (this includes relationship management, overseeing partnership proposals and impact reporting with partners, tracking brick donation logistics with SOHO Bricks)

Operate Brick giving program in Korea, giving bricks and conduct creative play program to hundreds of community centers

 

Support SOHO Impact’s Global Creative Play and Brick Giving Program

Develop expertise in creativity, creative play and STEAM to support community partners in brick play program concepts and curriculum development.

Pace and coordinate work in line with Brick Program budget and SOHO Bricks production timeframes.

Support SOHO Impact Marketing Manager to execute communications and marketing projects in Korea and Asia region including management of local events/meetings, documentation of brick play programs, and asset development and localization (such as website, brand materials, and social media).

 

Communicate with Stakeholders

Liaise with Nexon Foundation, SOHO Bricks and SOHO Impact to support project management and translation for team communications

Participate in weekly global team meetings with SOHO Impact

 

 

Qualifications:

 

3-5 years work experience in marketing, partnerships, and/or social development

Excellent project management skills and ability to work crossfunctionally

Competency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic collaboration platforms including Slack, Google Drive, Basecamp

Fluency in verbal and written English and Korean (dayto-day work will be in both languages)

Entrepreneurial, selfstarter and independent worker

Passion for startups and excitement for building a new organization (ie no task too big.. no task too small)

Excitement for working with children and community based organizations

Ability to simultaneously manage business objectives and social impact objectives

Willingness to work across global time zones and ability to travel
